 A lifer. 30 years of being in the bush and I've never seen one. If it hadn't been for me having to take my 10 year old to the camp shop to buy a bush knife I'd never have seen them (there was a pair). They cry like babies when they call and this is what alerted me to their presence. I tracked them for a few minutes till we spotted them in the canopy. They were shy and elusive so I arranged myself on the sunward side and waited for them to break cover.

Which camp? I saw them in Letaba in July, ran after them, took 4 silly shots of leaves with a red blotch. Wifey called to ask if I know the whole world is just waiting for me! They really cry like a baby, don't they! Very nice shot, your arms must have been tired waiting in the READY mode! Brilliant work.
