30 degrees out, the sun has missed the canyon but at least the it rims the trees adding that splash of color. Used tripod. A number of angles, this may be the best. I hope it is.

Composition - A remarkable place you've chosen to shoot. Very photo worthy. The framing is great. The angle this was taken from makes the shot. Minimizing the sky has helped a lot. Photos partly in the sun mostly in the shade are difficult to expose properly but it looks like you did a fine job of that. The white sky is the only thing about this picture that I don't like. The slower shutter to show the motion of the water is the icing on the cake in this picture. Great picture.

Photography - Well I kinda covered this stuff in the last part. ooops. My bad. In summary - you did a hell of a job

Processing - Nothing is standing out. The sky looks so white. I don't think you could've saturated some color into it without messing up something else. Some things are better left untouched.

Overall - An awesome scene well captured. Nice job again Mag. This is really well taken, meets the challenge well, and looks like a place where you could burn a card full in no time.

Great picture. Don't like that border. A simple white instead of that green one. I woun't rate it worse because of that border though :)

Simply beautiful.

What beatiful landscape you found. I love the turmoil of the water, the rapids are really interesting. Was the sun behind a hill? I think it would have helped if either the whole shot was overcast in shadow, or all in the sunlight. Especially I would have wanted the rapids/river part of the shot to be lit because that is the focal point of the whole picture. I may also have included a bit less stream and a little more sky, put the horizon a little lower in the shot to give it a little more depth. 7.

very powerful...well taken shot. I like the coolness of the foreground and the power of the moving water in contrast to the "warm" nonmoving trees in the background. Well done.

I wish this wasn't in shadow

There are some visually attractive elements in this image. I especially like the graceful powerful sweep of the torrential river. Flowing lines contrast well to the logically solid jutting prescence of the rocks. It looks like a difficult photo situation with blazing boring sky and deep dark shadows. You can't have detail in both. I personnally find the sky and trees too harsh ( just me ). If possible I would omit those two elements altogether and just concentrate on composing an image demonstrating the river power. Or if you are lucky enough to happen to be there on a day with a more interesting cloud pattern. These are thoughts only. It's your photo, and if you're happy with it that's all that matters. Keep up the good work.

This is a very interesting photo and there is so much that I enjoy about it. My initial thought was that it would be better if you used a real slow shutter speed (with a very dark ND filter) to soften the water but then I started realizing that the texture in the water is fun to look at and matches very well with the rocks and trees. This presents a tough lighting situation as evidenced by the over exposed sky. A Polarizer filter or a Split Neutral Density filter may have helped to maintain the blue in the sky. I probably would have framed the scene a little more to the right to show a little more of the water at the bottom right. Nice job. 8

LOVE the foreground, wish the lighting in the background was less harsh. I like the use of shutter speed to emphsize the faster moving water. DOF really nice. Very nice composition. 8

What a wonderful contrast of wamth and chilly cold. This is a beautifully composed image. It gives me the creeps a little becaus I know you must have walked out on those slick rocks to take this photo. A real pleasure to see. Love it.

This is a wonderful shot. One of the better ones I have seen tonight. How low could you have gotten to give a different and possibly better point of view?

Pretty nice overall, but I find the brightly lit trees in the background a distraction.

very nice work! The lighting must have been a challenge on this particular photo, but you handled it very well. = 10 - setzler

Beautiful composition, nice capture of water motion, and nice lighting. What makes this phot for me is the angle you shot it at as well as the golden colors on the horizon.

Sun going down or coming up? Not that it matters. Love the colors, movement, feel, and focus of this well composed shot. Bravo.

Isn't it amazing how the sun makes the land come alive? I see a b/w photo until I notice the golden reds of the trees in the background. Wonderful contrast.
