Thanks for all of the comments. I thought the cracked, weather wood was enough of a focal point, but looks like I was in the minority. The color also was a drawing point, I meanwho would paint their boat deck that color. But, again, I was in the minority. Ok, so I will mark it down that wood grain just isn't that interesting;)

This was a good thumbnail but the full size image lets me down. Focus is fine. Color makes my teeth hurt. Composition doesn't stimulate my interest. Sorry to sound negative.

For obvious reasons this image is suggesting Van Gogh, did you see it also ?

very good shot. Nice attention to detail and good match of color with lighting. I think you spotted a nice pattern and set up the right framing and everything. Any post production done here? color levels or contrast changes? Looks really nice

I like the grain and the yellow is an intersting colour, the saw marks detract a little for me.
