This has an old timey feel to it. The look in her eyes seems almost too severe. Like the colored part is too far off to the right. I know she's looking at the bubble, but maybe move slightly to the right so you were seeing her more straight on. Just a thought. Overall, I like the color and concept alot. |

I've commented on this photo. One of the best in the challenge.
Now, because of the results, I get to comment on DPC voting lately.
In a nutshell...it's gone south the last few challenges. This image is proof. Top 3 at least, top ten for sure.
What are people looking at?
Sher...it is simply gorgeous. |

Yours was by FAR better than mine and should have been in the top 3.
One of the better images to cross DPC that I have seen.
Congrats on your ribbon. I can see it, hope you can too.

You know how I feel about this photo. I think you deserved a top 3.. and a top 5 in the VERY least.
Absolutely robbed, and I'm kind of ticked off about it too. :)
However it came out though, you can't take away that this is one of the better photographs to ever hit DPC Sher.. It's timeless and classic. |

Great expression on the girl's face. She looks like she's mad at the bubble. Even though she's concentrating on the one bubble it might work to not have the image as tightly cropped on the right or use a vertical crop that would include more or the girl.
The subtle colouring adds to the mood. The depth of field is perfect keeping the background from being distracting. |

This is my over all favorite entry in the Masters challenge. The expression is timeless. The soft face color and blur background are perfect. The grainy feel gives this a classic finish. My only suggestion which may or may not improve this would be; to give her just a little more room in the frame. I think the crop is ok, but I wouldn't crop so much of her head out. Just beautiful in every way! 10 |

Stellar. The subject's expression is priceless, the capture of the solitary bubble, the clarity of focus and perfect DOF keep the girl in sharp focus while maintaining clarity of the reflections in the bubble. The colors and soft focus combine to add a nostalgic feel to an already perfect capture.

Charming beyond words. The facial expression with pouting lips and blown cheeks can not but enthrall the viewer. Now, the post processing is not at its very best. You have here a very good exposure, yet post processing has added a dark brown perimeter around the image followed by a halo of um artifact. This is evident around the shoulders and arms. The harsh crease on the joint of the left shoulder could have been addressed by a transparant clone because about this very area there is a breaking down of the quality of skin tones.
Yet, the image has enough zap to outsail these minor setbacks. The model carries the day. Bumping up to 6 |

How fun. I wonder how many bubbles she had to blow to get your shot? You captured her look perfectly and the post processing is very well done. But the coloration, I'm guessing you did a bit of desaturation seems just a bit off to me, not sure why. I guess I'm thinking the dress should be a bit brighter for some reason, not sure why. And is that you in the reflection of the bubble? A 9 |

She reminds me of me as a kid...I too was captivated by the bubbles...though it seems like she's looking at something out of frame (as if someone's coming to pop that bubble...) I am totally sold by her expression, and that you captured that bubble so perfectly. The softness of the photo is great, her polka dots are perfect, and the background is cool too. This is a wonderful shot, great expression and colours. The composition doesn't quite work for me, I'm wondering why a square format was used? Everything seems awkwadly placed within the frame. I REALLY wish she was looking at the bubble in the shot, rather than off-frame. Although NeatImage could kill this shot, I can't help thinking just a little would help reduce the very large amount of noise in this shot. 7 |

This is an interesting photo. You've indeed captured a good look on her face at the right moment. Her dress sort of makes this picture timeless, however the wristband throws off the facade. I do like the color though, it makes me feel as if I'm in the 50s. If only the wristband weren't there. 7 |

This is a sweet portrait and I like the close crop that creates an intimacy between subject and viewer. I'm not a fan of soft focus effect so that doesn't appeal to me. I'm also finding that her focus on the bubble that is so far to her side means it's hard for me to see much detail in her eyes, and I'd like to. I wonder if it would be a stronger impact for me if she were looking at a bubble that were higher up? 6 (//www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=129433) |

No offence meant, but I think she looks more shifty than captivated. If she was looking at the bubble it would make this shot a lot lot better. Also the grain is a bit distracting and the overall image quality (I can't quite put my finger on why) is not great. It all seems a bit fuzzy. I think black and white would have worked better too, because the greeny brown colour in the background isn't very attractive. 5 |

I love this shot..it has a timeless feel to it
but your post editing has let you down, mostly around the elbows where you have selected the background and not feathered the the selection all the way to the arm and part of her hair looks blown out too
this would be a 10 if you could fix these 2 things in a re-edit ~~ 9 |

This is such a great photo. I just wish she was looking at the bubble in frame. |

Very sweet portrait. Good expression. Good focus. Neat color shift to enhance the feeling of sweetness and innocense. Good work. |
