 This is probably one of my favorite shots I've taken in a very long time. My dad was an avid fisherman and took us to the ocean every chance he could. He taught us how to fish and mainly how to respect the sea and all that it has to offer. I learned the art of net throwing from him and this shot really reminds me of him.

I love the fuzziness of his net and how it corresponds to the texture of the waves and rocks. your "negative space" is the real subject here, and it's lovely. ah, but that was too quick of me. The net thrower is also your subject... we wonder about him, about the textures of his thought.

Great use of the space. I like the little bit of motion you can see (I think) in the man.

Details: Use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph.

Cool. Love that processing (braver with the vignette that I would be), and I think the use of space is very nice.
