Hello on a Monday.
Looking at your shot a Storms a Coming, I think I'm first struck by the stark and bleak look. I like that and it's makes good photography.
I would like to suggest that in this type of shot you either add more of the upper left branches or leave them out totally. They really don't add to the shot and they do cause distraction to the eye. The lower trees I like.
The title is implying a storm. The contrast in the clouds doesn't.
The focus is a little soft but that may be post processing.
Not sure I've really added any jewel but I hope you find the critique process helpful to you in the future. Thanks for the opportunity to review your photo. Keep clicking.

An improvement might be to bring more of the bare trees in the field of vision, just to create more interest...=)

This landscape lacks a strong element to really catch the viewer's eye. The bare tree on the lower left of the frame could posibly have made a nice subject for this shot as well.. maybe focus a little closer on it for a strong black and white shot :) - setzler

You need a bit more contrast in your clouds to meet your title.

This is a little too simplistic for me and I don't like the bits of branches stick out on the left top. Maybe if the sky was more dramatic looking it would work better for me. It's a good idea but it needs some more work. 5 -Tim

This is a really moody, desolate shot, that is really quite stirring. It actually took me a moment to realize that it's b/w. I initially thought it was just a really gloomy, gray scene!

I really like the trees in the left corner, with the slope of the hill, it seems very interesting to me. Usually, I like close foreground stuff (most often coming from the bottom of the frame), but for some reason I just don't like those branches just hanging on the left edge of the photo. I see the clouds and yes a bit stormy, but IMO not contrasty/dark enough to be really threatening (see title). I think I could have lived with the hill being fully sillhouetted (just a thought). 7 Swash

I do not think there is anything spectacular about this shot.

I would prefer to see something that stands out as the main subject.
Perhaps better lighting to help bring out the color of the land would improve the contrast against the sky.

Overall, seems very dark although there don't seem to be many threatening clouds. That little bit of branch along the left side detracts from the shot's simplicity. Also, the pair of trees are a little too close to the left side of the frame.

very atmospheric & stark. You could lose the branchs on the left, that would be my only critical comment. very good.
