I wouldn't worry about the score.
I was one of your eights, and only had two entries ranked above yours. You can't please everybody and DPC is only a small niche of people.
Was this for a client? Did they like it?

| Her skin was barely retouched and her eyes are cosmetic contacts. This was a very basic edit and is not much unlike the straight out of camera shot. Whatever. |

I think it was the eyes, did you not notice one is red, and also her skin, just something about that skin.

| I hate to criticize a good portrait, but on my screen her facial skin looks very plastic, like over PP... She's too young and pretty to need that. Other than that I think it's a LOVELY shot, the red eye is awesome! |
