 Sarah Hammer is a US cyclist who holds the world record in the 3000 meter individual pursuit. By virtue of the world record, she gets to wear a rainbow jersey. I got to see her race in an Omnium Elimination race - quite an exciting event. A whole field starts at once (they had 24 in the women's race) and after every other lap, the last person across the line is eliminated until they're down to two, then those two go two laps for the finish. It was an awesome night at the Velodrome! By the way, Sarah won this race.

Had to stare at this for a while. Didn't think Hammer would wear those colours at an international event, but the helmet gives away it's an American. I can see two Canadians to her left.

I was hoping Laura Brown was going to win, but I'm slightly biased in that regard. This is my top pick in this challenge.
