Finally a few minutes of peace after TPL2 to submit an entry. I have enough material to catch up between Week 32 and 47 but no time to do so... perhaps in the holidays I'll add some.

Black Cuckoo (Cuculus clamosus) in my garden. I've been hearing them call for 2 years during summer when they arrive from central Africa but have never been able to positively ID them until this year when I actually managed to get close with my light and versatile Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5 to 5.6 DG OS HSM APO

Any comment or critique; complimentary or critical are welcome and appreciated. Questions about gear, technique etc. also welcome.

Great shot. Does it make the classic Cuckoo call?
