 Hope all the hard work pays off.

I didn't really have an idea in mind until I saw this towering pair of stilettos in the window of a consignment store. They're Mariah Carey and 5 1/2-6 inches tall. I arranged to borrow them for the weekend and shot a bazillion pics of them.

Then I went to an old abandoned farmhouse at the end of a long rural road that had recently been busted for a grow-op. Though there was a relatively new chain on the gate, there weren't any signs forbidding entry. So I took my chances and was careful to not go in the house though it looked pretty cool.

Then I bashed everything together in PS and even took a screenshot of the text *eyeroll...Langdon...seriously?! You announce a challenge like this and no special rules for text?!* and here we are.

Used both Siggy1 and Siggy2 for the shots and Herculanum for the font.

I thought this was excellent. Certainly looked like an album cover to me - and a good one at that. I expected a top 5 finish.

Good visual anachronism. Effective tonal progression from background to title to the shoes.

Placing these shoes as they are is just so bizarrely outrageous that they startle with delight. Wonderful idea. And the background structure has a nice composition. Topnotch album art.
