Yes I wanted to get down close but security would not let me for I needed a pass. I could have blown up the image but I would have lost pixels. I thought, now forgive me, but the topic was transitions, thus the burnout and people waiting around for the race to begin. |

Not more than a snapshot, to my eye... where's the transition? |

despite a whole host of interesting cars, this has a 'snapshot' feel to me... it needs a more dramatic angle or something. there's a lot of detail and my eye isn't drawn to any one thing. |

Up close to the action, this would have been a fun shot. |

What I wouldn't give for a closer seat... |

It was TRANSITION, not TRANSMISSION. LOL. Nice cars all the same. |

Seems a bit of a tenative link to transitions though. |

There's a little too much "stuff" in this picture for me. If you could have gotten closer to the dragster or to some of the other cars I think it might have been more effective, especially if it were a newer model and older one together. |

not sure how this meets transition. Also, there is too much going on to be able to focus on what the shot is about. I almost missed it. |

If the subject of you rphoto is the racing car, then you need to be closer or zoom in more. The cars and the people in the foreground are way too distracting |

Too busy I dont feel it fits the theme |

It's a shame you weren't closer for this, it would have been a tremendously bitching shot to get a tight framed shot of the car and the tire burning out with smoke flying off the back of the shot. Still good though! |

This is a little to much like a snapshot. The composition doesn't really emphasize the subject. There's a lot more people watching the car than the car itself. |

Nice idea but the photo is too busy. Might be better if you zoomed in or cropped in on the car |

subject too far away - good idea |

I don't quite see how it fits the challenge.... |

not much to do with transitions |

You definately needed to be the photographer in the white shirt. |

No appearant subject. If it's the car, it'ss too lost among the other lements of the photo. |

These are some cool cars but I'm not seeing the transition... |

would have been a lot nicer if you were closer to the action |

Good idea, would have been better if you could have zoomed in more, the car show, while nice to look at, destracts from the "burn out" |

I love the idea behind it but too much going on in the shot. |

I would have liked to see this a little closer. |

i don't understand what the transition is, friction? |
|
|
04/22/2002 07:37:00 AM |
far too far away to get the real action. You'd need to be by the wall. The transition isn't too strong other than stopped to moving. But 95% of your picture is people standing around. |

|
04/22/2002 07:11:00 AM |
I'm not seeing too much transition here. |

Maybe would have been better if the shot did not include so much extra information |
