 He didn't really, but came very, very close. We had to go home, and rest quietly for a while.

No, really, he did. He spun around so much (despite being warned against it) that we had to go straight home, he vomited a few times over the next few days, was diagnosed with 'f'ed up inner ears' (neighbour's a GP) and told to lie down for three days. Whee. I managed to restrain myself from saying 'I told you so'
