...from Critique Club...
Hi David
FIRST IMPRESSION:
Way too much stuff happening here :|
COMPOSITION:
The shot seems balanced enough, but the busyness of all the branches totally detracts from your focal point- the bridge. I think that if you had moved to the right more and get the bridge in between the trees it would have worked better :(
TECHNICAL:
Lighting is good here. The sky seems a bit over-exposed. Focus could be a bit sharper (even sharpening in post-processing would do it) :|
ARTISTIC:
Just by looking at the photo, I can tell that you were at a nice enough location. I wonder how many shots you took, and if this was truly the best one. Getting the bridge with minimal destraction from the trees would be better :|
OVERALL:
A very busy shot with some technical flaws.
Cheers and good luck in the future challenges. |

I'd wait for the people to go past, and maybe center the big tree on the bridge. |

Such a beautiful bridge, and such a huge tree in the way! Maybe if you walked about 30 steps to the right and taken the picture again, the composition would be more uniform. It's a lovely park. I wish I lived near it :) -Annida |

The Bridge was a wonderful subject. The tree really does hurt the shot. |

That is such a beautiful bridge that I wish we could see more of it. Understand why you didn't though. Suposed to be landscape, not bridge. So that was a good choice. I'm drawn to the red coat(?). Seems like my brain wants to know exactly what it is. Suspect it's a person, but want to know for sure, you know? I think the colors are good. As good as they can be in winter anyway. Focus seems good, and the angle and framing/cropping is ok. Good luck in the challenge. |

You said you could fine some dirt and trees nearby. Gorgeous bridge design! |

Love the colors and framing here, seems a bit soft. I think the people under the bridge distract a bit. |

I would have prefered a less obstructed view of the bridge, otherwise nice shot. |

I found this picture a bit frustrating. I would like to see the bridge, rather than having the tree in the middle obscuring it. I like the fact that the bits of blue sky make some of the trees sppear to have blue foliage. |

I think that huge tree in the pictures center spoils the character of the bridge. Maybe try it again but move around to the right about 30 yards. 5. |

A slightly different persepctive could have made this shot that much better. As is, the bridge is cut into two. MAybe you could have caught the whole uninterrupted bridge if you had moved to the right. |

Could be a little sharper but I like the spash of color from the guy in the back. |

This is a nicely exposed pix--the one thing hurting it is the tree in the middle of the bridge. If you used the trees to frame the bridge it would have made a much betterpicture. |
