I was one of the hundreds of people who stayed on line to preview for about 20' the new floor commissioned by the NYCity Ballet to the French artist J.R., a former street artist.
Everybody had a camera but I personally spent 15' just looking before I remembered to take a few pictures. The spectacle was too interesting since on top of this stunning vinyl photo of some 6000 SF the visitors were walking in a daze, some imitating the dancers pose, a lot of little future ballerinas playing their parts or just giggling, some meditating laying face up in the center of the picture.
I took just a few shots, here are a few more:

This one had me quite transfixed. Some kind of exhibit? Very well captured.

Now that is different, wondering where this is, please tell, such an amazing POV, wouldn't be surprised if this is the winner.

An intriguing "live art" presentation of some kind. My favorite is the guy at the top between the pools of light, who obviously is not part of the display, but helping set it up perhaps.

Interesting photograph - I like that there's a lot going on. Very Escher-ish.

What the heck am I looking at!!! A scene from Dante's inferno...? With the pedestrians just ambling through. How extraordinary.
