This was taken at Middlecreek Wildlife Sanctuary during the annual migration of Tundra Swans and Snow Geese. There were over 60,000 birds there the evening nikonjeb and I went over to take photos. Incredible! |

Didn't have time to comment on this earlier. What a glorious evocation of flight! I love how the birds are chopped up and glittering. The sinuous curve of the horizon is beautiful. It reminds me of an Escher print wherein birds shift in color as day turns to night, but actually, not technically. Terribly underrated. |

Brave entry. Blurred birds. Nice. Great time of day too to portray that last minute exodus, or arrival. |
