 I was trying for a "past era" feel in my processing.

This was taken at the entrance to Mayflower beach, where I took my Shadows IV entry (my current PB) as well as other challenge entries. I haven't been there for a couple of years and the dunes at the top of the beaches have been badly eroded by several severe storms since then. Some of the fences were reduced to tangled messes of wire and metal supports, with all the sand they supported washed away. Of course, nature being what it is the sand lost from there has ended up somewhere else along the coast, on another beach, in the endless shifting sand cycles we experience on parts of the cape.

This was the first sunshine we had all week, and it finally broke through mid-afternoon, a few hours before the submission deadline.

Thanks, Johanna. In fact we usually end up right next to each other after a day shooting at the same location, just as we do after days neither of us has been out shooting at all!! (I just couldn't resist!!!)
