I've used the Topaz Labs Van Dyke Brown treatment and got the same response in a juried Photo Club evening. They all hated it. Suffices to say that 4/5 Judges and ALL the participants had never heard of it and all but 1 got into photography in the Digital era..
In the age of the knowledge and information super highways they are pretty stupid. Needless to say I am no longer a member. |

I don't know how to vote on an image that's not all gray tones in a Black and White challenge.
"Reduce the world to a palette of grays, and focus on light, shade, line, texture and form."
I'll revisit this tomorrow... |

I am not sure I love the color, photo is a bit dark for my taste. |

Muddy and foreboding. Unusual choice and I doubt it is getting any love because of that. I'm not against the PP choice but I do wish you'd taken more care when doing it. There are way to many halos throughout the image. Try mask and apply the filter one by one to the masked areas, then re-blend. |
