I tried to find a phone booth for this challenge. Couldn't find one in the entire town! I guess these things are "going away" and being replaced by cell phones. (I can remember when it cost a dime!)Used digital flash and added some noise in PS.

Perhaps you should have tried a sepia tone to go with the ribbon you're seeking? :-)

Removing the phone entirely from context makes it look like an ad picture....it doesn't seem to say much more to me than "this is a phone." The low contrast and grainy appearance don't create mood or tell me more about the subject. Sorry. Just the way I see it.
