Really cool light and focus. Framing him with grass hardens his edges a bit and makes this quite effective! 9 |

focus area should be deeper - the blades of grass are a bit distracting |

This is a very engaging photograph and a strong showing in this challenge, which leaves much room and little cause for critics concerned with the technical.
What does concern me a little, is the missed opportunity for a more 'charged' and less 'descriptive' title. The subject's poignantly charismatic, almost iconic presence in this stinging portrait, his whole pose, demeanour, attitude and placement in this unlikely environment evokes worlds, one of which I would have loved to see named. |

Love this one. Very engaging and intense. Dead on focus on the eyes. |

The overall effect is great. I'm not convinced with the composition, though. |

7... would have been an 8 or 9 without the harsh glare on the right side of his face... nice shot though! |

I'm afraid the crotch seams in his pants are more striking than his glare. Maybe some more grass in the foreground could have camoflaged his lower body a bit better? The bunch in the back of his jacket also makes him look a bit hunchbacked. Perhaps sitting a bit more upright with the camera at a slightly lower angle would have resolved both issues. |

hmmm... the use of reflection off the mirror doesnt work too well for me. and the shutter speed seems a bit low.. but overall, not a bad image. 6.

Interesting photo. Maybe you could have cropped the image closer to omit his hands. |
