 Vitiligo is the condition in which the body, for random and unknown reasons, decides that some of the body's pigment is the enemy and must be destroyed.

This photo of my right hand, taken in the spotlight, shows my self-consciousness when meeting new people and giving the inevitable handshake.

I tweaked the color balances to match my actual skin-tones as closely as possible, then did a brightness/contrast adjustement to strengthen the spotlight effect and did an unsharp mask. I also desaturated the white shirt to get rid of some color cast created by the earlier adjustments.

I like the use of clothing as a way to suggest concealment of what must be embarrasing. Interesting lines and shadows formed by the folds of the shirt. Nice job.
