A fairly common fear, coming across needles in the grass of a park or any other public space. Of course walking barefoot is pretty foolish in any area you don't know very well, but sometimes the grass feels nice underfoot. Until something comes up.
Came up with the idea on Thursday, but was too busy to shoot until 8ish Sunday evening, when the mosquitoes were out in full force...yeah...bug spray doesn't always work with them! So I was in kinda hurry to get the damn shoot done so I could scamper back inside to safety.
Dug a hole in the ground for Siggy to rest in, positioned the syringe (which I actually use for my cats' Program dosage) and got the focus on it. Locked focus to manual, set up the timer to shoot 5 times after a 10-second delay so I'd have to get setup and positioned. This was the very last of nearly 300 shots, and by then I'd figured out that I had to compress my body a bit to avoid the pinhead look :-) Don't mind that my face is a bit oof, as far as I am concerned the clear and present danger is the needle.
pp: shot RAW, crop, brightness/contrast, dodge and burn, yet more brightness and contrast, desaturate, resize, sharpen, save for web. |
