This is a shot of Labuda. in my eyes, his biggest characteristic feature is 'the pyrotechnic'. whether it be fire or explosions, aleks is always behind it.
simple setup, just had a week light reflected off white cardbord go onto his face, along with the flame lighting. we took a lighter and "suped" it up... this is actually the real flame, it just did a little burst during this shot. arranged the contrast to creat the dark areas, and did a little bit of spot-editing. then resample & submit...

Ah, the old take-the-cover-off-the-lighter-and-dial-up-the-flame-to-insanely-high-levels trick. A favorite of mine as well. :) I love his facial expression and eyes.
