Wow, this has just climbed up slowly yet steady all week long...Thank you so much. I'm not sure if it will ribbon or not but the score has been a wonder to watch!!!

This was taken at a bird rookery not far from where I live. There are between 75-130 Great White Egret nesting pairs at this park...they are ALL over in the trees (so you have really pay attention of "where you are standing" you don't want to be in a poop-zone!!!)...definitely one of my very favorite spots to go to.

This was where I got this shot as well ...this is their "mating dance"...

you got second place so you know its a good image, i cant find much to dislike except maybe its a bit over sharpened for my tastes.

I like the way my eyes are first drawn to the large white area of the "protector" and then led to the babies. Effective composition and exposure.
