I really wanted to do a shot like this  again, but better. Think I succeeded :-)
Camera on tripod, flash up. Martini glass on a small table, 2l of grape soda, a cherry to anchor the cocktail umbrella, and oh yes a frozen slug of grape soda dropped in - many times before it melted - to create the splash. Yes, that poor little blue cocktail brolly took a beating :-)
Note to self: good idea to wear old clothes, have some old towels around for cleanup, a thick plastic dropsheet over everything, and a plastic-bag snood over camera body to protect buttons :-)
pp: shot RAW, crop, brightness/contrast, vibrance/saturation, dodge, minor cloning out of small and oof bubbles. Used blue and violet filters at 25% each, as grape soda tends to look pinkish when in flight.

| Quite like this. Only a personal opinion, but I would like to crop away the right hand third of the photo to further accentuate an abstract look (so that the drinking glass becomes less obvious). |

| took me a while to work out the blue thing was a cocktail umbrella. I think it would be better without it, what do you think? Nice shapes in the splash. |
