thanks for all the comments. this picture was done by building the pyramid of ice cubes, and then pouring rubber cement all over the cubes. it works pretty well, but the fumes lasted for a couple days.
yes this is a transition, and it is also a contrast, as is every other entry |

Very good. the pyramid shape makes for a nice composition, and the black background makes the foreground pop. |

This is a very interesting photograph. I especially like the way the flames seem to float. There is nothing constructive that I can add, sorry. |

Hmmm, interesting, how did you do that? Did you freeze some alchohol in the cubes? I really like the shape fo the flame. Nicely composed. Good job! |

Nice staging of the fire and ice. This image might've worked better for a "contrast" challenge. |

this is quite possibly the gayest picture i have ever seen. this takes the imagination of a small monkey. i hope you were smart enough to know how to put this fire out. |

Wow! What did you use to set it on fire? High score for creativity. |

Truly a great shot. The composition is magnificant, while at the same time getting the point of this challenge...transition. Great work! |

How did you get the ice to burn? Frozen vodka? Or something poured on top? |
