 We spooked this well hidden young gator off the bank of a small pond while on a hike. He or she was probably as startled as we were and just stayed there for 10 minutes while I attempted to take a decent picture. We were also worried mom might be around so I didn't stick around too long. Focus was extremely tough as I was shooting f4, it was a well shaded area so I had to crank the ISO as well. The original photo in my mind is my argument against minimal editing. The color was more vibrant in person and the camera's version muted a lot of the saturation. I hoping for a 6+.
