Thanks for the votes and comments! I didn't think this would do well so I'm happy that it did.

The shot was taken the day Hurricane Ana came through the islands. The shot is from Punchbowl National Cemetery. You can't tell from the shot but it was pouring rain with some pretty strong wind gusts.

While taking the shot, I was holding an umbrella in one hand and the heavy camera with the 70-200 in the other hand, all while trying to get as close to the ground as possible (without having to lay on the grass) with the wind blowing me around trying to steady the umbrella and camera. As I'm trying to adjust the lens with the umbrella hand, one gust blew the umbrella so hard it jerked my arms back which made the camera whack my face and gave me a bloody lip. Oh, the hazards of striving for a ribbon. :)

Great leading lines and it certainly evokes emotion. The trees are like protectors guarding the realm of the fallen. My favorite in this challenge.
