 Yes. We all sit in the same place every meal.

*sigh*

Except... our oldest son is gone out of the country right now. I miss him very much.

I hope no one remembers our table and my decorations from years past. I'm a creature of habit.

I'm thankful that my MIL and her wheelchair took eldest's son's place. I don't think I could have endured looking at his empty spot for the entire meal.

It's the first Offspring Absence from an official holiday for me. Tough time... but... I made it through... and everyone even said they enjoyed the food.

I rock.

Sometimes.

*sigh*


I suspect that this is just the beginning of more Offspring Absences in the years to come. It's just that... THIS was the first. *sigh*

Yet still... I am thankful. He is healthy... and we all have food... and enough to share.

Life is good. Yeah. It's good.

Fantastic overhead shot Lydia. It really shows off the feast as well as the festive decor and then it fans out to include the family who has gathered together to share in the feast. Well done! Congrats on the top 5 placement!
