i've always liked the opening title to To Kill A Mocking Bird
and so for me i just wanted to capture that same child like nature in this photo (the maribal).

yes that is a frist addision "Prim Reader" from the 1920's
the maribal to is of an early age the pencil is not but they are all on a 1940's childs desk.

I think this would have worked better if you had cropped into a more panorama shape instead of the 3:2 but good shot, one of my favorites.

good inmage that comes together quite well I like the pencil but not the marble. It seems to have the wrong shape for this image, a little crop along the bottom would strengthen the composition IMHO

what is the wavy light at the bottom of the picture if you zoom way in it looks like an ocean. Leather? otherwise I love the shot.

Nikce lighiting and good still-life set-up. The black and white looks a bit cold to me. I suggest warming it up a bit by adjusting the Red in the RGB Levels.

I like your lighting. The B&W adds a nice touch. The marble is a nice additon because it's something we don't think of as much for school.
