 Of course it was the Vatican in Rome! We were lucky enough to be travelling Italy in October which made it very difficult for me to choose a shot for the challenge - I took so many great shots!

Even though this photograph is one that a lot of photographers have taken before, I believe it still captures the 'wow' factor that's needed. The only modifications to this pic was a levels and saturation adjustment and stamping out a stupid awning which covered the front of St Peters.

Nicely detailed guide-book-like shot. Highly competent. I can't say that it does a lot for me photographically, artistically, if you like, but I can appreciate the technical prowess here.
