Nice snapshot of the youngster. I like the shape of the fabric pattern and the placement of head and eyes in the frame. Flash seems a bit harsh and the shadows it creates are a bit distracting. If it were me, I'd try shooting with ambient light and see if it softens the harshness. Just my opinion. |

Totally cute, great colours and focus. This would be a super photo without the the wooden bar right in the middle of the picture, covering half the subject. |

whats wrong here? well, for one that bar accross the center- it isnt very attractive, it blocks the kid and it should be rotated to be straight if it has to be there. The flash gives an unpleasant light. the leg on the right is very strange. The angle is practically a crotch shot, so what if you rotate the bar to be parellel to the border and then crop the image right along the bar? that excludes the hands and the other foot and leaves her face, her beautifuk eyes and the red fabric which has very nice lines and colors, the green matches her eyes. you would also eliminate some of the glare from the flash. Infortunately a picture is only as good as its worst element, not its best. |

I understand that you think this is a perfect picture, it's probably your daughter/grandchild but composition needs to be better to score good in a competition like this, we don't know and love her so we need something else to work with.
She has nice eyes, but I cant see the rest of her face and I would like that... |

Beautiful eyes and I like how the background is so colorful. IMO, the bar in front is too distracting and takes the focus off of your subject. The lighting is a bit flat, maybe from an on-camera flash. |
