 This was a simple image taken during a fabulous spring rainstorm. I had been out driving around, and something about the scene caught me eye and I pulled off to the side of the highway to think about what I was seeing.

My initials thoughts were that I would get a better shot closer to the electrical towers (and that would put more traditional 'landscape' in my image). I did not think anything with a street view would do very well.

I had one shot from the other side of the street that I liked, but this image was far more dramatic and I just fell in love.

I am ever so honored to have earned a blue thumb. I was proud to have captured this even before any comments. I'm glad this connected with some.

(There were actually tears in my eyes as I read my comments. Thanks to you all.)

The same border as ubique's shot, which I also favoured. And I do not really like borders.

Oops, I said I gave you a 10 and I see it was only a 9, because I forgot to do that final bump. Sorry about that, I will give you an 11 next time, and say it was 10. Still love the picture.

I like how the horizon is sloped to balance out the strong lines to the right, a lovely delicate dance.

Simply the best. This is a beautiful, original, searing photograph. Tones, shapes, movement and dynamism, all out of what we lesser mugs would see as nothing, or more likely not see at all. No way to forget this, and why would I want to? 10 and the True Blue Thumb for You. Thank you.
