Ouch... this was at a 6.4000 early, then a 1 brought it down below 5.9 or so. It clawed (pun) its way up back to nearly 6.5000 and now with about 15 hours left, it's dropping from the 6.2 to now 6.1852.

This was nearly a last minute idea (taken and processed and posted in about 20 minutes). I got these wooden hands for Christmas (thanks honey!) and wanted to use them in something. I checked several "Hands" related challenges and saw nothing, then stumbled onto "Body Parts" and liked this one.

I set the flashes, opened the aperture to f11 for DOF, took a light meter reading and then set the camera to a 12 second timer. Pressed the shutter button and then squatted down, looked through the eyepiece and reached around left and right and interlocked the hands until the shutter fired.

Several times.

Such fun. :)

Down several more to 6.0909 at 11:54. Wonder if the 6 will even hold now.

The light on the upper hand is a bit hot, but it is surprising how much emotion you got out of wood with this lighting. I like the tones better than the original.
