Hehe, well done, a first place and a 5th place from essentially the same shot.... thats what I call efficiency!. The funny thing is that in both circumstances you met the challenge perfectly.

As for the execution... I didn't really like the original.. but this one is a really great shot. Good job of learning from your past efforts and improving.

Im also curious as to how big these replicas are? Im assuming they arent lifesize like the real thing (by real thing I mean the ones in China) ??

Oh the history! Great choice of b/w. Although I would normally not like a shot this oversharpened but it works here. Great job.

Great subject and a nice shot. i always truggle with shots like this though: a great subject - but would it look great anyway? I don't know whether to award many points for creativity here since it's pretty much point and shoot at the amazing scene.

It's clear (over-sharp) and impressive, but in my view it lacks the input of creative flair to make it stunning. Will probably score well though.

Wow! How can I compete with this kind of subject? Great composition, and excellent detail throughout the image. This looks like publishable work to me.

Nice work, great choice. There seems to be a slight bluring on the bottom, and right edges, no deduction here, as it is hardly noticeable.

seems a little grainy. otherwise awsom shot. where was this taken? I didnt think that there was that many "terakota?" soldiers in one area.

Wow! How can we compete with that?!?! Good DOF. If the colors of the image were good, I probably would not have chosen B&W. However, I gave you a 10 (my only one in this challenge) because you met the challenge criteria, captured a very unique composition, and made it all work. Great job.

One of my favorites of yours (I recognize) recycled! I was going to write you a note in fact telling you that this would be great for this challenge. Hoever, I am not sure I like this black and white treatment as well as the other. Seems to be a dottiness/grain to it the other didn't have (I recall).
