great idea, the only problem with this i think was the harsh lighting, a bit more diffused light over the whole picture would have given a better effect , and probabbly this picture would have scored higher!

Softer light would have been better. A great picture ruined by lighting that was too harsh. That poor chicken looks terrified.

the framing feels a little off, i would have lifted the camera a bit so the chick feels more grounded, right now he looks sort of like he's floating!
