my previso comment was chooped for some reason. Anyway the 2 pictures are not the same. the one on the laptop screen is missing the green boxes of film and what ever that white thing is by the compact flash cards. Looks almost like an iPod,

Might of been a little better if you had used an even earlier form of camera either instead of or as well as the nikon.

You're just showing off with all your technology aren't you!!!!!
Me jealous, no surely not.
I like this pic very much though its a bit dark and you'vre lost detaila rounsd the cameras

interesting lighting. good idea
04/26/2002 02:52:00 PM
Looks like it should be in an ad in a magazine! wish it was a little clearer, good job however.

I like the idea, it was even one of my ideas but unfortunately to me it simply looks like a display of two different photography formats rather than a transition from one to another.
04/26/2002 02:08:00 PM
If I'd had one, I might have laid a dodging tool across the bottom of the photo...
04/25/2002 10:45:00 PM
Nice recursion.
04/25/2002 02:42:00 PM
ugly laptop
04/24/2002 02:31:00 PM
nice idea!
04/24/2002 12:26:00 PM
Not all of us shot in film in any sort of meaningful volume before going digital, the the title's a bit presumptuous! :) i would have shot one more so even the little teeny screen two deep had the picture in it.
04/24/2002 07:34:00 AM
lol. very humourous picture. i like how you shot it and reshot it only quibble i have is the tungsten lighting you used. i would probably have set the white balance to correct for the orange glow.

Excellent idea, maybe a bit to busy, a little dark perhaps, not sure how else you could have lit it without reflections on the screen.
04/23/2002 05:25:00 PM
Nice lighting and composition, but it seems a little contrived and lifeless.
04/23/2002 04:15:00 PM
Good choice of subject matter.
04/23/2002 09:24:00 AM
Yes, very true, but this just looks like stock photography to me.
04/23/2002 08:32:00 AM
excellent rendering
04/23/2002 04:45:00 AM
That about says it all..... I don't know how to take out the orange, but it would help.
04/22/2002 08:23:00 PM
Great Subject, what a way to get to the voters :)
04/22/2002 08:10:00 PM
i'm not one for the completely setup shots, like the colors however
04/22/2002 07:51:00 PM
I love everything about this photo!!!!!!!!
04/22/2002 07:18:00 PM
I like this ... all except for the Nikon(yes, I have a Nikon digital, but Canon is my REAL cam) and the Mac ...
04/22/2002 03:35:00 PM
A truly major transition in our lives, Great Idea!
04/22/2002 02:32:00 PM
I'm impressed with this photograph. The transition from film to digital has touched most of us. I also like the touch of having this photo displayed on the laptop screen. Nice touch! Ipper and lower cropping look good. The ony complaint I have on this particular shot is that the dark carpet isn't offering enough contrast to the Nikon and the extra lens on the left side of the frame...

>lol< and how! great idea.
04/22/2002 01:52:00 PM
Nice concept, needs a little more light.
04/22/2002 01:36:00 PM
very, very nice idea.
04/22/2002 01:13:00 PM
wonderful idea.
04/22/2002 01:00:00 PM
Looks like its right out of a magazine ad.
04/22/2002 12:54:00 PM
Oh really? We ALL made them?
04/22/2002 12:50:00 PM
point well taken... very good
04/22/2002 12:16:00 PM
Interesting shot, though of couse its not quite accurate, as I never really got into regular photography cost per shot was too high,
Though some people will complain that the shot is faked, but if you look closely you can see they are not
04/22/2002 12:10:00 PM
Love the picture in picture in picture thing :)
04/22/2002 12:03:00 PM
I really like the creativity behind this concept!
04/22/2002 10:49:00 AM
Original, would have liked a brighter exposure, the image is pretty dark

Very clever.
04/22/2002 07:49:00 AM
GREAT idea here. The orange cast isn't appealing though. White balance could've corrected that.

nicely done, especially with the shot showing on the computer. The comp seems a bit tilted, and I feel it could have all been a bit tighere ? Imaginative attempt.
04/25/2002 01:10:00 PM
You assume that all of us have used non-digital cameras before? Wrong :o) The recursion of the display is great!
04/23/2002 02:22:00 PM
nice tranistion
04/23/2002 01:23:00 PM
good idea but elements of the photogrpah are getting lost in the dark background (like the Nikon and lens on the left) -- your whites seem a little blown out as well

It looks like an advert. I like :)

VERY interesting transition:) Well done !
