A small wooden puzzle that I have. I seperated it slightly to get square holes between the wood, as well as the square cross section of the pieces. The puzzle was placed on a sheet of white paper and lit by natural light from a window to the right.

Composition : I really like the simplicity here. The two squares in the foreground give a nice diagonal feel.

Exposure / Lighting : I keep going back and forth on the shadow in the lower left. First i think it adds depth, then i think it distracts. In the end I'm leaning toward liking it, but I wish I could see this with a second light source on the left eliminating that shadow just to compare them.

Focus : Wonderful job with an all encompassing DOF.

Post Processing : If there is any, it has been done well enough so as to not be apparent.

Challenge / Wow : The challenge is certainly met.

My opinion : This may not make sense, but it seems to be both simple and complex at the same time. Very appealing. I'm still debating how I feel about the shadow...

A light on the left may have eliminated that one shadow. Otherwise great focus. The centered composition works well, I think.

This is a nice shot. I think the lighting is a bit too High Key. This was a great idea though. I like your style.

I like this photo. Good representation of squares! The shapes are very clear and shadowing is also used in the image to attract the eye. The white behind the photo really gives it a professional look! Good job.

Great picture regarding light, color, texture of the wood and the focus.
What I like most is the gradual decrease of brighntess of the puzzle from the right to the left. Also the soft shadow of the puzzle on the background is great.
It is not too "square", it's more "geometry". However, it still fits the challenge IMO.

I like that you've pulled apart the puzzle a bit here. It's a great subject for this challenge. I like the white background. It almost looks like it could be floating mid-air, but the shadow at the bottom left gives away that it isn't.

Well done. Like this, composition, light, crop. The focus is a bit soft.

Very well executed, and very tastefull choice of colors. Focus is neat. The composition in IMHO is too forward and predictable.
