Thank you for your kind words and guesses. ;)
Other then studio lighting I manually focused the slinky so if you look closely I focused on the under part not the outer springs.

I can't help it. Give me some nice tones and gradients and contrast and grit, some light and darkness, lines and lines and more lines (reminds me of a typewriter with the swooping motion of its keys). This is a guilty pleasure photograph for me. Top marks.
