Greetings from the Critique Club :)
This photograph has some interesting color and texture for sure. The square concept is clearly visible here, even though it is a bit abstract.
I believe that there are several reasons that this photo did not score so well... First of all, There is not really a defined subject, as is the case in many abstract photos. Abstract photos, in general, don't seem to be as well received here for some reason. DPC, for some reason, likes tangible subject matter for the most part. I believe that creating a little 'depth' for this image may have been an improvement also. The image is rather flat from this camera angle. Maybe adding some wrinkles to the fabric would have enhanced the depth as well...
Keep up the good work :)

Those are gorgeous colors, but I can't tell if the fabric is just fuzzy, or if the picture is slightly out of focus or both. I think showing more giving more context to it would have made it more effective. |

This is very busy. I understand that it is a square of a quilt, but I can't see the edges of the square very clearly. Focus seems a bit soft in spots. |

Very colorful, this would probably be a bit sharper if you used more of the 150kb file size allowed. |

Good colors. I like how the texture can be seen. I dont really see the square in this image. It doesn't feel square. Good job. |
