Greetings from the Critique Club!
I think DPC voters are chronically allergic to techniques involving stuff like zoomblur, long exposure, subject tracking...they seem to lerve their images clean, sharply focused and usually saturated to death. *cough cough a certain primarily seascape photog*
Anyway I think that's the main problem here, cause I can feel myself running alongside or just behind Joie, trying to keep up with an unleashed dog running and shooting at the same time! Maybe the light is a teeny bit on the blown-out side; the dog's face, were it towards us, would probably have helped this image score higher. Comp and lighting are suitable for the subject.
Hope this has been helpful

Nothing like a run in brisk Fall weather for a dog. The ears tell the tale. Can't help but want to see the grin I know is there, but you still conveyed a lot of the moment. |
