Probably my first DQ with a ribbon entry. I should of won the dummy award instead. I normally read the challenge rules to a T but this time I just overlooked the RULE regarding making your own texture, I don't know how I could of but I did, and I mean I love textures and would of gladly made my own, but instead I used a texture from the DPC library and an analog filter in CEP.

I didn't really follow the texture thread as I really didn't have time, but then a few days ago out of curiosity I read what Lydia said about textures and then Bear's reply and it clicked - DOH!!!! I kept the entry in just in case It might be ok, since technically in adv editing this is permissible.

Thanks for the nice comments anyway, it was nice to ribbon with this shot I rather liked it. I now fall into the hands of the SC.

Oh well I got what I deserved.

Lovely image Anita. Heartfelt commiserations. I submitted an entry and realized only a short time before roll over that my main image was taken 2 hours too early. By the time I pulled it out and went to work on something else I missed getting back in before rollover. I really liked the idea of this challenge and I think maybe I get the dummy award?

I guess you knew this was coming Anita but it still remains my favourite of the challenge and shall remain an example of a (very) good overlay :)

I sure expected to see you on the front page in this challenge and pleased to see I was right. Fingers crossed for the DQ decision though it is pretty black and white in terms of the brief.

(so far) this is the best of the challenge for me, the texture becomes part of the image rather than just added because its an overlay challenge.

Minimal image but tells a story - bumping to 8
