interesting idea for a shot, but I am not sure how cliche that is.. anyway, with the back can out of focus, the foreward can should be super sharp... and as we see it needs a bit more focus... nice composition though and great use of black and white

Composition: Left-hand tin seems slightly too close to the left hand edge for me.
Technical: Lovely DOF and choice of B&W. Is the very thin line around the edge because of sharpening? Might have benefited from cropping a pixel on each edge.
Meets challenge: Not sure where the cliche is, sorry.
Overall impression: Nice interesting pic, but composition lets it down a little for me. 6

Nice DOF. Would have liked to see string a bit better.

the texture that the lines in the can gives is good. The black and white is a nice effect.

I think there are some boarder issues, but I like the focus

Great title. Very ingenius. I really like the photo and the concept of it. But personally, and I said personally I have some problems. I don't really go for this DOF thing so many like. To me this whole thing should have been in as good of focus as the can on thel eft. It is great. Also the rounded background leaves dark triangles at the top two corners, very distracting. The shadows on the focused can are too dark, as is the end of the can. I realize you went with a loft of "correct' photography techs. This is why I believe they are rules of thumb and not laws, as do a lot of people. To me this one, because of the concept and your obvious photographic abilities, could have been a 1st place winner, with a score of 10. As it is it really should be scored very low. But I am going to give it a 6 because the concept is so good, it meets the challenge, it is different and unique, I really do love the whole idea, and I can see a lot of potential that is obvious you have thea ability to do. This is not my norm on comments or score but feel is warranted by this photo. I really wish you the best. This one is a perfect example why we should shot what we really like.

I think that this picture being black and white creates intrest to this picture. Nice Work

Good, clean compo with straightforward message. I would enlarge the frame a just a little more and move the cans to the right so the left one isn't so close to the edge. 7

good idea

I like the set up. I would really like to see more focus/sharpness for the front can. Smart idea to use shallow dept of field to blur the can in the back. Good job. Jacko. 8

I can remember using this type with my friends many years ago. Well done composition and works well in grayscale.
