This is looking straight up at One World Trade Center, while it was snowing. Given the opportunity I enjoy photographing straight up against buildings so this was a no brainer. I never noticed the bit of skew off the bottom. So I do appreciate the comments mentioning it. Very little PP here. Contrast adjustment, slight crop and covert to b/w. Had very little color originally. I made a mission to visit downtown Manhattan when it was snowing and last year proved a good year to do so. This season, NYC got its first snowfall today 1/17 (Sunday) and just a dusting.

I have a thing for cold, stark, metallic, high contrast images with angles and lines and empty fields. Yep, this fits the bill just fine.

The nearly perfect symmetry, the tones, and the speckeled dusty texture make this one of my favorites. Most of all, I love the way it feels like it's drawing you in and pointing the way to something.
