I think color would work better in this context.

Nice variation of textures. Would have preferred a little more light on the left.

The only thing that saves this for me is that it is in black and white. That alone does make it an interesting shot for me. I am not crazy about shots of kids toys generally. The texture of the draped background adds interest, and I do like the lighting a lot.
