| I doubt I'll ever cease to be amazed by the incredible quality of images submitted for challenges week after week. There is some major talent out there and this artist is one of them. |

look at those eyes! and the wisps of curly hair!
lighting is nice and even, until you get to the shiny spots on the nose, cheek and forehead. nice catchlights in the eyes, though. a bit of drool on the baby's chin makes it too shiny there, too. nice choice of background. watch on the profile that the nose doesn't cut the cheek. turning the head a bit more toward the lens would eliminate that.
I am not saying any of this is easy, and I realize this is a small child. I do this as my job, and so I handle small children's photos all the time. I am just pointing out what would make this "perfect", but I think this is overall a very well done portrait, and shows that "cliche" doesn't have to look "cliche". Good for you! You have helped to prove the point. |

| He/she is certainly a keeper...great portrait especially in black and white..the lighting is very good and I like the mood caught here. This child is a thinker. Very crisp and clean photo. Good luck. |

| Composition = 10, lighting = 10, exposure = 10, creativity = 10, beautiful baby = 10. no deduction for the drool on the chin because this is a fabulously beautiful work of art. AND Thank you SOOO much for not cropping of those curls! |

| This is a technically incredible shot from the standpoint of the serious DOF. The tones are perfect and certainly speak well in contrast to the background. The nose tip runs into the cheekline to the diappointment of ultra-perfectionists. But this is real life not a statue. So I like it even with the cute chin dribble. I love the wavy hairdo and those ever so delicate highlights. A truly professional job. |

| I love that wisp of hair on top of the head. That makes the photo, in my opinion. Nice black and white.. Very clear and sharp. Nice profile. Should do well. |

| just one thing: the light from the left side seems to create an awkward conflict with the softer fill light. could that have been avoided or was there reason enough? |

| Great shot. Looks distorted a bit, were you in wide angle mode? Nice lighting and focus. IMO, he/she should be a bit more angled toward the camera. I have an urge to wipe the droll of the babys chin. :) |
