 Many thanks to everyone and special bling to all the commenters.
Btw, I put the camera in a Ziploc plastic bag and cut out the tiny lens opening of the 40mm pancake lens.
The cheapest way to shoot in heavy rain and protect the camera. When the glass is wet on the 40mm there is no noticeable difference in performance.

Congratulations on the Blue, Georges. This is as much of a treat to look at as ever, though I have now gained increased appreciation of the "eyes" on the scooters. :)

gorgeous capture, as if the camera person were merging with the rain and blow. at least I feel as if I were moving right along with it. (and nice of your to share your m.o.)

Superb image, a great moment of street photography. The scene is dynamic and radiates in color!
I can't imagine how (possibly) imposing this would be with jagar's or nixter's style BW processing.

Great shot!

There's something I simply must share about this photo.

There's an italian scooter and motorcycles manifacturer, Piaggio, which makes a scooter called... Typhoon 50.

Now, I know that those two scooters in the bottom left corner aren't Typhoons.. but when I saw this picture and I read the title I couldn't help but think that it might be somewhat intended.

So double score for me!

Wow - that's wet indeed! Love the composition with the alien eyeballs of the scooters in the lower corner, the scurrying, colorful children, and yes that poor guy with the hat trying to make sense of it all. And all that rain! Marvelous.
