Thanks, Tiny. I'm one for interesting skies, too, though they might have made the image even busier and I'm not sure I'd like that here. I'm thinking I'll be playing with a few edits - like taking the poles out - and replacing the sky is something to consider. |

to a lot of folks this would be taken as a snap of a load of old cars, and as that it works well
it looks like a nice day as far as the weather goes, which is always a bonus although i prefer the day to have some of those white clouds in varying sizes |

That does help, Mary Ann. As you say, I couldn't help the scene so that may well have made it a very poor choice for a challenge submission here. But . . . there's nothing to stop my trying to alter the background and details of the scene for other uses. I think taking out the power poles would have the most positive and immediate impact. And many of my other shots are close-ups of individual cars so they won't have the same problems and I can certainly keep this in mind as I select which ones to work on and process them. Thanks. |

To me, my eye is first drawn to where the light is falling on the cars, which is unfortunately right where the power poles are situated so it takes the emphasis away from the cars. Also, I know you can't help where they parked the vehicles, but the scene seems too cluttered (too many BG distractions). So, on the technical side it's very well done but the scene itself is a problem. Just my opinion, hope this helps :) |

'Does it come in any other colour than rust?' Great capture of history standing still. |
