 An assortment of leaves from my own trees, showing just a tiny amount of the great variation of colours we get around here.

Post-challenge: I didn't spray any leaves. It had rained the previous night and I saw that the leaves with the topsides exposed to the rain only got a slick of water on them. Only the leaves with the undersides up got raindrops. All I did was move a few leaves.

FWIW, considering waterdrops used to be a huge cliche here, I was quite surprised to see how well this image did. Never saw it below 6.5 and often well up into the 6.8s.

Hello from the critique club

An appealing image that meets the challenge

‘Ooh that’s nice’ were my words aloud as soon as it appeared! What a wonderful time of year this is, its colours and textures just have to be exploited to the full and your image does just that. I like the frame-filling aspect but its those lovely vibrant colours that hit you smack in the face, delicious! This is purely a personal thing, but I do get rather put off by the almost obligatory raindrops that seem to feature so much nowadays so for me that is the only thing that detracts but I do realise I am very much in the minority on that score. And talking of which well done for such a high one and your placing, a very creditable result Susan.
