I think an orchid like that needs to be shot with a dark background. maybe a deep blue, with a slight side/backlight to pick up the stem. Thats just my opinion though. :)

| Great focus on the flowers. The compostion is a bit static in my opinion and the gray background just too flat to bring out the flowers. |

| A little oversharpened, noisy background and not the best-appealing composition. This had a lot more potential, imo. |
