The title is accurate. But unfortunately, it is also an acknowledgement that it probably doesn't meet the challenge. I love this photo, just not for this challenge.

True, but maybe not close enough for THIS challenge. It's a good photo, I definatley give it that, but I don't consider 1/2 a large cat to be extreme close up. I realize that you couldn't get any closer, but then maybe you could have gotten a different subject. It looks like you got a great pic of a cat and decided to enter it anyway even though it's not extreme close up. Lighting is great, and focus and calrity are great, beautiful cat, and background is not distracting. Like I said, great photo, but maybe not for this challenge. ~Heather~

Not sure if it's what I'd call a macro or close up, but it's a very good shot. In another challenge I'd score it an 8 but in this I'll give it 5.
